Affordable Counselling Support
Medicare Rebates are now available for counselling
for a wide range of problems.
Please note that a referral is required from your GP who will give you
a referral.
What is counselling like?
- All matters are strictly private and confidential - see Confidentiality.
- Consultations are approx. one hour's duration.
- Consult rooms are usually comfortably furnished and
are non-clinical to enable clients to feel at ease.
- Consultations are often offered during lunch and after
hours for those who work during the day.
- Consultations by psychologists are offered for a wide
range of issues and many counsellors specialise in particular
areas. For instance trauma therapists may specialise in loss and
grief, bereavement, anxiety, depression and post traumatic stress.
- Relationship counsellors specialise in individual or
couples therapy.
- Life skills such as assertiveness, anger management,
self-esteem and body image can also be address with counselling.
Counselling support for
veterinarians/vet nurses is available for the following issues:
· Client related stress, issues with grieving clients
· Animal related stress, euthanasia,
· Work relationships, communication problems
· Management problems
· Personal issues that impact on work
